Police have issued 15 fines to motorists who were caught breaking the law in the pedestrianised area of Lancaster city centre.
Fourteen of the £50 fines were given to people driving through restricted areas of the city, and one to a driver for not wearing his seatbelt, on Friday night.
This is part of a major Lancaster Neighbourhood Police crackdown on motorists driving and parking in the pedestrian areas, with Market Street and Church Street particular areas of concern.
Checks will continue, said police.
Certain vehicles are not authorised to drive within the city centre due to the area being a pedestrian zone.
There is no permitted access for vehicles unless you are displaying a disabled badge and looking for parking.
Loading vehicles are permitted between 5pm and 10am.
The main areas of concern are Church Street and Market Street in the city centre.
Any vehicles contravening the rules may be issued with a fine of £50 or a recorded warning.
