Two people have been arrested after a man was critically injured in a fail-to-stop collision in Morecambe earlier this week.
At 2.38pm on Tuesday (December 16), the North-West Ambulance Service informed Lancashire Police about the collision which happened on Ovangle Road, Morecambe, involving a black Hyundai i30 car and a pedestrian.

The Hyundai was later found abandoned.

Both are currently in custody.
Sgt Joseph Calvert, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “As a result of this collision, a man has been left with some very serious injuries, and my thoughts are with him and his loved ones at this difficult time.
“We know this happened at a busy time of the day and there were a number of potential witnesses in the area. With that in mind, would ask anyone with information or dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV footage which could assist our enquiries to make contact with us as soon as possible.”
