Police have renewed an appeal for information after a man suffered serious injuries in a crash on the M6.
The injured man remains in hospital after the collision involving a van and an HGV on Wednesday.
Lancashire Police issued an update on Thursday morning, calling for witnesses to the incident.
"At 5:20am yesterday, we received a report of a collision between an Iveco Daily Van and a Renault Heavy Tractor Artic HGV on the Northbound carriageway of the M6, near to Bilsborrow," said a police spokesperson.
The driver of the Iveco, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries, and was taken to hospital, where he remains.
"Our thoughts are very much with him and his loved ones as he receives treatment.
"We know that a number of vehicles will have passed the scene of the collision, so if you were in one of those vehicles, or have dashcam footage to assist our investigation, please get in touch with us.
"You can contact us by calling 101 and quoting log 0132 of 5th February or emailing SCIU@lancashire.police.uk"
Emergency services were called to the scene between Junction 32 (Broughton Interchange) and Junction 33 (south Lancaster/Garstang).
Firefighters used cutting equipment to free the man from his vehicle before he was taken into the care of ambulance paramedics.
There were severe traffic tailbacks in the area on Wednesday morning with reports of up to seven miles of congestion and 60-minute delays.
The road was closed for several hours before being reopened on Wednesday afternoon.
