A power cut plunged shoppers into darkness at Morrisons supermarket in Morecambe this morning.
The electricity went off at the Hilmore Way store on Wednesday at around 11.40am and customers were asked to leave the store.
The lights then came back on again around 15 minutes later and engineers arrived to investigate.
Other nearby properties, including others on the Hilmore Way retail park, and traffic lights were also affected.
Morecambe Visitor Information Centre reported that they were temporarily unable to take calls on Wednesday morning due to the power cut.
An Electricity North West spokesperson said: "The cause of the power cut was by a third party excavator carrying out work this morning which affected 166 of our customers."

A shopper from Morecambe, speaking from Morrisons at the time, said: "Everything just went dark and then the security guard came round asking us to leave. Then they put an announcement over the PA.
"I abandoned my trolley and came outside, hanging around to see if it came back on, which it did about 15 minutes later."
