The Earl and Countess of Wessex will visit Lancaster Castle next month.
Prince Edward and Sophie will make a trip to the historic medieval castle in the city on Wednesday September 7.
The royal couple will also visit Preston on the same day, making stops at Avenham and Miller parks, and the city market hall.
Prince Edward is Her Majesty the Queen's youngest son.
This will be the first royal visit to Lancaster Castle since the Queen was there in 2015.
It will be the second royal visit to the Lancaster and Morecambe district of the year, following Prince Charles' trip to Morecambe in July.
