Two arrests were made and an investigation continues after a major commercial waste fire at a former skip hire site in Lancaster.

Police said that two arrests were made in December, of a 36-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, both on suspicion of arson.

They were bailed until March and enquiries are ongoing.

The fire involving 13,000 tonnes of commercial waste, broke out in the early hours of Sunday December 3 at the former A1 Supa Skips site at Port Royal Avenue, Lune Industrial Estate, Lancaster.
