A professional wrestling event will be held outdoors on the Morecambe FC pitch next month, it's been announced.
The football club has teamed up with top UK grapple promotion Revolution Pro Wrestling to bring 'Bash At The Bay' to the town on Bank Holiday Sunday, May 24.
The wrestling ring will be set up on the Mazuma pitch, and it's been described as "a one-of-a-kind community event" with "two pillars of sport and entertainment coming together".
Revolution Pro Wrestling, based in London and Portsmouth, has been running pro wrestling shows around the UK since 2012.
With a motto of 'Pro wrestling at its best', the company is known for bringing together some of the biggest names from around the world and for high quality events.
They are due to run their 14th anniversary show at the iconic OVO Arena Wembley in August.

"Morecambe Football Club and Revolution Pro Wrestling are delighted to announce Bash At The Bay 2026, coming to the Mazuma Stadium, with the ring set up right on the pitch," said a statement from Morecambe FC.
"This unique event is designed with the local community at its heart. A fun, affordable afternoon out for all ages, bringing together families, fans, and first-timers alike for an unforgettable live experience.
"Bank Holiday Sunday 24 May, two pillars of sport and entertainment come together for something truly special. Expect the very best of British and international professional wrestling in a setting like no other coming live to a town that is rich in wrestling history.
"With family ticket options available, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a Bank Holiday day out together, creating memories that last long after the final bell. Family-friendly pricing, live from the pitch at Mazuma Stadium, a one-of-a-kind community event, perfect for all ages.
"Whether you're a regular at the Mazuma Stadium or discovering live wrestling for the first time, Bash At The Bay 2026 promises something special for everyone.
"Tickets go on sale this Friday at 6.30pm with exclusive early bird and family ticket options available for one week only. We encourage fans to secure their seats early.

Revolution Pro Wrestling promoter Andy Quildan said: "I'm very excited to be part of this collaboration with Morecambe Football Club.
"It's very rare that you get to run a wrestling show on a football pitch and that's exactly what we're going to do.
"(Morecambe FC owners) Panjab Warriors want to use the football club to continue to bring the community together. That's what this wrestling show is going to be.
"It's going to be a community fun day, targeted to all the family and the people of Morecambe, and a very unique experience.
"We hope that some of our fans who don't live around the area will want to come and travel to it and spend a bank holiday weekend there.
Revolution Pro Wrestling action

"The ring is going to be on the pitch. The local football club is a pillar of Morecambe, much like professional wrestling has been over the years in Morecambe as well. It's a very historic wrestling town. So I'm super excited.
"We are going to do what we do best and that's produce a fantastic professional wrestling show."
Morecambe is well known around the UK as a hotbed of pro wrestling, with regular action-packed shows taking place since the 1930s at venues including the Central Pier, the Winter Gardens, The Dome, the Platform and Lancaster & Morecambe College, in front of loud, family crowds.
Alhambra Live also regularly hosts popular professional wrestling events in the town, run by promoters Odyssey Pro Wrestling since 2021.
They held their most recent event, War on the Shore, last Saturday and their next show, Mutiny, takes place on Saturday June 6.
The football stadium, when known as the Globe Arena, previously hosted live pro wrestling indoors in its hospitality lounge in 2013 and 2014.
But it has never hosted a wrestling show outside before, with its last major non-football live entertainment events being two music concerts on the pitch in 2023.
The announcement of 'Bash at the Bay' comes just days before the biggest professional wrestling event of the year, WWE WrestleMania, takes place in Las Vegas, USA.
This annual two-day wrestling extravaganza on April 18 and 19 is expected to attract more than 100,000 fans from all over the world, and will be streamed live on Netflix.
