Crowds flocked to Morecambe prom over the weekend for a local scout group’s St George’s Day celebration parade.
The event, put together by Lonsdale and District Scouts, saw hundreds of scouts and leaders taking part in the celebration, which is usually an annual event, but was the first held since the pandemic.

The parade was led by Lancaster drumming band, Samba Espirito, creating an incredible spectacle of noise and colour, as they made their way down the prom from the Beaches Café to the Midland Hotel.
A spokesperson for the group said: ‘’St George is the patron saint of Scouting. It was great to get us all back together and our two Squirrel sections joined us for the first time and had so much fun.’’
