A pub and two Morecambe cafes have been targeted by burglars over the past week as police continue to investigate a spate of similar crimes on or near the Promenade.
The Boardwalk pub on Marine Road West was broken into on February 21 at around 4.30am, as a suspect gained entry and attacked a gaming machine, said Detective Inspector Adie Knowles of Lancashire Police.
The pub was also targeted earlier this month when a collection box with money donated for the School Aid music festival was stolen from the bar.
Det Insp Knowles also said that Lewis's Cafe's front door was attacked during the night of February 20 and 21 but the culprit did not gain entry to the Marine Road Central premises.
Ralphy's cafe on Marine Road Central was also targeted on February 26 at 12.55am. The suspect used a crowbar, causing damage to the door frame, and had a scooter with him.
This is the second time this month that Ralphy's has been targeted.
A post on Ralphy's Facebook page said: "Again our door holds out!
"Crowbar bandit back at it again, just before 1am!
"Like previously stated, nothing of value left on the premises! Big love to our neighbour who let us know."
Det Insp Knowles spoke about some of these incidents on 'Beyond the Beat' on Beyond Radio on Tuesday.
"I would ask that people still remain vigilant, as they are all focussed around Morecambe Prom or not far off the Prom," said Det Insp Knowles.
"If you see anybody acting suspiciously overnight, just ring it in to us."
If you see a crime in progress, call 999. If you have information, call police on 101 or ring the confidential Crimestoppers line on freephone 0800 555111.
