Residents can have their say on plans for a new 1,000-home neighbourhood including a new primary school in Lancaster.
Dates for drop-in events have been announced where people can speak to developers who are planning new housing between the M6 and Caton Road.
The proposed East Lancaster Strategic Site includes 80 hectares of land at Ridge Farm and Cuckoo Farm, pockets of woodland and copse including Ridge Wood and Long Bank Wood, as well as the existing site for Lansil golf course and Lansil Sports and Social Club (pictured below), which are expected to relocate if the development goes ahead.

House building firm Persimmon have launched a public consultation on the plans.
They said the around 1,000 new homes would include affordable housing, as well as extensive green space, community facilities and a new primary school.
"We are pleased to be bringing forward proposals for much-needed new homes and community facilities at this strategic location in East Lancaster," said a Persimmon spokesperson.
“Persimmon are proud of our record of building high quality homes with excellent design that people love to live in. We look forward to hearing from and meeting local residents so they can help us shape the future of the new neighbourhood as we develop our plans for the site.”
A public consultation website has been launched today for residents to find out more about the proposals and share their feedback at east-lancaster.co.uk.
Residents are also invited to attend one of two public exhibition events if they would like to speak to a member of the development team. The details of the exhibitions are as follows:
Castle View Primary School, Wednesday October 16, 4.30pm to 8pm
Holiday Inn, Lancaster, Thursday, October 17, 4pm to 8pm
Feedback can also be provided by email to east-lancaster@devcomms.co.uk, by phone on 0800 080 3267 or by post to Freepost DEVCOMMS.
Beyond Radio broke the news about the blueprint for the major new housing development in April.
This came after a 'scoping opinion report' was sent to Lancaster City Council.
This provides a summary of technical and environmental information that the council would expect to see included as part of any planning application submitted to them for the proposed development.
The report was "for the development of the site to include circa 930 dwellings, associated infrastructure to include highways and a school, relocation of Lansil Sports and Social Club and the golf course, provision of a country park, public open space and play facilities, footpath and cycle links, landscape buffers and sustainable urban drainage features".
The scoping report and responses from consultees including the city council, United Utilities, Environmental Health and County Highways can be found at the Lancaster City Council website in the Planning section - reference number 24/00438/EIO
