A revamped restaurant at Lancaster and Morecambe College had its official opening after teaming up with a luxury 5-star hotel.
The Bay Restaurant at LMC, previously known as Coulson's, relaunched after the college partnered with Gilpin Hotel & Lake House in Windermere.
Guests from local businesses and across the hospitality and tourism sector joined college staff and representatives from Gilpin to celebrate the official opening of the restaurant on Wednesday.
The restaurant is open to the public and provides a real work environment for students to develop their industry skills.
Here is how The Bay Restaurant @ LMC looks inside.

The college has also launched The Bay School of Hospitality
This will allow catering students and apprentices the opportunity to take part in a range of masterclasses and cooking demos with Gilpin’s team of chefs, Ollie Bridgwater and Tom Westerland, whilst working towards achieving the prestigious Gilpin Ambassador’s Award.

Adult learners on the college's part-time culinary programme will also have the chance to take part in a Masterchef-inspired Chefs’ Challenge Award, where they will create dishes based upon one of the Gilpin menus. The students will be able to showcase their skills and will have their dishes judged by the Gilpin team.
Beyond Radio's managing director Duncan Moore was among the guests at Wednesday's official launch of the restaurant, which opened to the public in autumn 2023. Photo from Lancaster & Morecambe College.
