Visiting has been suspended on a ward at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary due to a norovirus outbreak.
Castle View West - Ward 23 - has halted visiting due to the outbreak affecting patients and staff.
A spokesperson for the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Foundation Trust said: ‘’To keep everyone safe, the suspension of visiting will remain in place until this coming weekend when we will review the situation.
‘’End of Life visiting and Care in Partnership, incorporating John’s Campaign, will still be supported.
‘’Relatives and carers of patients on Castle View West are being contacted by the team to let them know about the suspension of visiting. A further update will be shared when possible.
‘’Thank you to everyone for your patience and support at this time.’’
