A young swimmer and her teacher have been described as "amazing superheroes" after they completed a marathon-and-a-half challenge to raise money for their community pool.
Ten-year-old India Elliott swam 13.1 miles and Becky Townend swam 26.2 miles in total in the Carnforth Community Pool during the February half-term, taking 16 hours in total to complete the challenge over several days.
India's mum Lisa said the pair were "amazing superheroes".
"I can't be any prouder than I am today," she said.
They are raising money for Carnforth Community Pool, where India is a member of the swimming squad and Becky is assistant manager and swimming teacher.

They have raised more than £3100 at time of writing and fundraising will continue until February 28.
The pool has received planning permission for an extension to the building, costing more than £100,000, which they hope to start building in May.
There are plans are to open a cafe and viewing platform along with additional storage and facilities.
The challenge took place over the February half-term, which coincides with the pool's fifth anniversary since it was taken over by a charitable trust in 2018.
