An annual weekend of scooters and music in Morecambe has been hailed as a huge success.
The Morecambe Rides Again event was held over the weekend and included a mass Ride-In of scooters along the Promenade on Saturday followed by a gathering of bikes for a custom show on the Stone Jetty.
There was also live music at the Alhambra, the Exchange and the Boardwalk in the West End.
Scooterists gathered for the mass ride at the Alhambra on Saturday morning, heading out to Wray Bridgehouse Tea Rooms, then returned along the Promenade after assembling in the car park near Morecambe Golf Club.
A post on the Morecambe Rides Again Facebook page from organiser Mark Dugan said: "What a weekend – blessed with decent weather apart from the downpour on Saturday evening.
"Big list of deserved thank yous – Rob and Debbie Ellershaw at the Exchange, Lee and Maree at The Boardwalk, Paul Littlewood at the Stone Jetty Cafe, Fiona and Alex Wetton at The Alhambra and their respective bar teams who all worked their socks off to keep everyone lubricated! Jon at the Wray Bridgehouse Tea Rooms for hosting the ride out.
"Pretty Green, Andy Creevy, The Britpop Union, The Itch, Complete Control, Supersonic Kicks, The Odels, Sharp Class, Lemon Soul and SkaFace – all suppliers of superb live music! Jay Blackburn and Nigel Rothwell for spinning the discs on the Stone Jetty on Saturday afternoon – some fantastic tracks there.
"The sound guys over the weekend – Andrew Prince, Bernie Kelly, Rob Dorrington and Andy Creevy. Barbara and Stefanie at Public Realm (council) for their great help in getting things approved for the Saturday Ride In.

"Judith Bradbury and Kay Lingwood for helping get the venue ready and selling our patches. Gary Fields and The Centurion Scooter Club for the excellent marshalling of the ride out – well done guys. Jon Hoey for his assistance with the custom show and for presenting the trophies.
"Lee Bradbury and Joan Dugan for their help in preparing, organising and running the event over the weekend – couldn’t have done it without them!!
"And the final thank you goes to everyone who attended – lots of familiar faces and lots of new faces too. We worry each year that no-one will turn up – but you never let us down!
"Your support is very much appreciated and it’s great to have you all in the West End of Morecambe having a great time. The sight of seeing all the scooters riding along the seafront to The Midland Hotel will be remembered for a long time….
"We’re on with sorting the date for Morecambe Rides Again 2025 so watch this space…
"Thanks again everyone – it’s been a blast!"
