Carnforth firefighters have stressed the importance of smoke alarms after tackling a house fire.
Four fire engines from Lancaster, Bolton-le-Sands and Carnforth stations were called to the incident at Church Bank in Over Kellet on Wednesday May 31 at 8.27pm.
They were on site for two and a half hours as they extinguished the fire.
"Thankfully no one was injured," said a spokesperson for Carnforth Fire Station.
"A reminder to everyone that shutting bedroom doors will reduce further damage to the property in an event of a fire. Like this home owner had done also and had working smoke alarms.
"If you would like further information or have no working smoke alarms or know someone who doesn’t, get in touch with Lancashire fire stations via phone call and select the option for a home fire safety check or via the (Lancashire Fire and Rescue) website."
