Former World Snooker Champion and BBC commentator John Parrott MBE will be the special guest at a crown green bowling competition in Lancaster.
John will play some frames of snooker at Skerton Liberal Club and also a game of bowls, as he was a crown green bowler in his youth.
The 1991 World Snooker Champion's appearance will come at the 15th running of the £4100 Invitation crown green bowling competition, sponsored by Carlsberg, on Saturday August 6.
Dave Clarkson, organiser and club secretary, said: "This is the biggest one day bowling event in the country and attracts the best in the game, including the current number one Callum Wraight.
"There are 28 invitations to the top seeds and four local qualifiers, each of whom won a competition to secure their place."
The first prize is £1100.
The first games begin at 10am and the competition should finish at around 6pm.
Entry fee to watch is £1 with all monies from entry, refreshments and raffles going to The Loyne Specialist School charity. All welcome on the day.
There will be live music all day and evening in the club at Acrelands, Lune Street, Lancaster.
