The MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale will visit Morecambe to speak at a public meeting held by local Liberal Democrats.
Tim Farron will speak at the event held on Thursday July 3 at the Memorial Hall on Church Street, Morecambe.
The subject will be 'the national picture of politics, including the rise of populism and its antidote'.
Mr Farron has been MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale since 2005 and is a former leader of the Liberal Democrats.
Councillor Peter Jackson, the Liberal Democrat deputy leader of Lancaster City Council, will also speak about local issues.
There will then be a question and answers session in which the audience can participate.
The event is free and light refreshments will be available. It starts at 7.30pm.
