A popular local samba drumming band took to the streets of Lancaster for a "spooktacular" Halloween parade.
Members of Samba Espirito drummed through the city centre in ghostly fancy dress and make-up for their 'Espirito of the Dead' parade on Saturday.
Crowds of people lined the streets as the ghoulish group made their way from Penny Street via Market Street, New Street and Church Street to Horseshoe Corner.
Samba Espirito is a samba drumming band influenced by Brazilian, African and other world musical styles. They regularly perform at local events and further afield.

A Samba Espirito spokesperson said: "Our Espirito of the Dead Parade was utterly spook-tacular and so many of you came along to celebrate Halloween our way!
"Thank you for making our second Lancaster Halloween Parade an unforgettable one! Here's to next year!"
The band will next perform this Saturday (November 5) at The Golden Ball Hotel at Snatchems for their bonfire night celebrations.
