The public screening of the first episode of series 5 was part of the new Morecambe Film and TV Festival.

The cast, joined by writer Daragh Carville from Lancaster, also took part in a Q&A hosted by Beyond Radio's Phill Hayward.

Georgia Scholes, posting on X, said the premiere was "truly beautiful".

"To every single person that came along, those who travelled far and wide, and those from Morecambe, thank you.

"It was a pleasure to meet you all and to watch the first episode of The Bay series 5 in your company."
