A teenager who was stabbed in Carnforth town centre is "doing a lot better" as police asked for help in finding witnesses.
Police were called to the junction of the A6 Lancaster Road and Market Street on the evening of Saturday June 3. A 13 year old boy had been stabbed and was airlifted to hospital.
Detective Inspector Adie Knowles spoke about the ongoing investigation during his 'Beyond the Beat' feature on Beyond Radio on Tuesday.
"The victim, he's doing a lot better, which is certainly the good part," he said.
"The suspect, who cannot be named for legal reasons, he has been charged and remanded.
"The investigation is still ongoing. We have spoken to a number of people, witnesses, but we are still looking for potential witnesses from a black SUV type vehicle which had stopped and mounted the pavement slightly near the County Hotel while the incident occurred. We still need to identify the people from that vehicle."
Det Insp Knowles asked for these potential witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 6.30pm on June 3, contact police on 101, email him on 6966@lancashire.police.uk or call 101 or go into local police stations.
If you saw anything near the junction that evening, please contact police or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
A 14 year old boy, who was charged with attempted murder, has been remanded and was due to appear in court again on July 3.
A 15-year-old girl, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been bailed.
