Tributes have been pouring in following the death of a popular class instructor who worked at a leisure centre in Lancaster.
Salt Ayre Leisure Centre announced the passing of Sue Taylor, on the centre's Facebook page.
Sue was described as "the brightest soul" and praised for her "boundless positivity".
"It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Sue Taylor," said the post from Salt Ayre Leisure Centre.
"Sue was a cherished part of the Salt Ayre family – as a dedicated member of our centre staff and a much-loved class instructor. Sue’s warmth, positivity and infectious energy lit up every space she was in, and it was truly a joy to know her.
"Sue made a lasting impact on so many of us. She had a way of lifting those around her, and her absence will be deeply felt by our team and by the many members who knew and loved her.
"In the coming days, we will be giving careful thought to how we can honour and celebrate Sue’s life in a way that reflects just how special she was to all of us.
"Thank you for keeping Sue, her family and all who loved her in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time."
There were a huge number of comments of tribute to Sue.
One said she was "a true friend, inspiration and my burst of positivity every single day".
Another said "she was so so grateful for your love and understanding when she was poorly. She literally couldn't believe how kind everyone was to her when she came back to classes after a while off. Always so humble and grateful. She loved her classes and members so much."
Another tribute said: "Sue was such a sweet lady. Her class was the first I ever attended and she made me feel so comfortable I found myself coming back to her class each week because of her warm personality. Rest in peace and sending love to her family."
And another said: "Such sad news. I'm really going to miss our early morning chats...putting the world to rights and that infectious and positive attitude.
"Your zest for life was amazing. Taken far too soon! Your loss will impact an entire community. Thank you Sue for being a part of my life!"
A Lancaster City Council spokesperson said Sue worked for the council in financial services before moving to the council-run Salt Ayre as an administrator and fitness instructor.
