Trumacar Primary School celebrates 70th anniversary

A Heysham primary school has held celebrations to mark its 70th anniversary.

Trumacar Community Primary School held a special event for people who attended or worked at the school since it opened its doors for the first time in 1953.

Attendees were given a tour of the school on Combermere Road, while there as well as enjoying live entertainment.

Also as part of the celebrations, all current pupils and staff dressed in clothing from the 1950s to mark the occasion.
