Two people have been arrested after police chased a stolen car through Morecambe.
Residents reported seeing a police helicopter over the West End, Branksome estate, Westgate and Mardale Avenue area of Morecambe on Wednesday - as well as a large number of police vehicles as officers pursued the car stolen from the Preston area.
"You may have noticed a large police presence in Morecambe this evening," said a post on the Lancs Police Specialist Ops Facebook page.
"Officers from the Roads Policing Unit, Road Crime Unit, Police Dog Unit and National Police Air Service have been looking for a recently stolen vehicle from the Preston area.
"The vehicle was sighted in the Morecambe area where a pursuit ensued.
"The vehicle was successfully stung, and the pursuit was brought to a safe conclusion. Two persons were arrested for several offences.
"Thank you to everyone in the local area who assisted officers."
