Two men have been arrested on drugs and money laundering offences after a van was stopped on the M6 near Lancaster.
Two officers from Lancashire Police’s Tactical Operations Tasking Team were on patrol on the M6 when they came across a Ford Connect van travelling at speed around junction 33.
They signalled for the van to stop and initially the van didn’t slow or alter course. It did later move onto the hard shoulder but then continued for a short distance.
Both male occupants ran from the van along the hard shoulder of the M6.
One male was arrested after a short chase and the other was arrested after the Taser was drawn but not used. One of the men was found in possession of a bag containing a significant amount of cannabis.
Tens of thousands of pounds of cash was also discovered.
Both men have been charged with possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and money laundering offences.
