Police believe two sneak-in burglaries at houses in Morecambe may have been connected.
The incidents occurred on Wentworth Crescent in the Westgate area on September 10 between 11am and 2pm, and on Low Lane in Torrisholme on September 16 between 5.30pm and 10pm.
At Low Lane, the culprit entered through an insecure back door and stole a purse, £20 and some cigarettes.
On Wentworth Crescent, the offender entered through an insecure door and stole clothes, cash and jewellery.
"There has been two which are possibly connected even though they are not close to each other, because they are both very similar," said Det Insp Adie Knowles of Morecambe Police, speaking on his regular 'Beyond the Beat' on Beyond Radio.
"We have had a spate of these in Morecambe in the past where people go up and down driveways trying doors and trying to sneak in, even while people are in.
"So this is a plea, if you're in, please keep the doors locked."
If anyone saw anything suspicious please call police on 101.
