Two women were taken into hospital after they were cut free from a car following a crash on the M6 near Lancaster.
The women, one in her 60s and one in her 40s, were taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary following the crash on Thursday morning which also involved a lorry.
Firefighters removed the car roof using cutting equipment to rescue them from the damaged car after being called to the crash near Junction 34 at Lancaster at 10.20am.
Six fire engines from Lancaster, Morecambe, Bolton le Sands and Carnforth went to the scene of the crash.
A police spokesperson said it was a minor injury collision.
There were long tailbacks on the motorway following the incident.
