Morecambe's world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury will defend his WBC Title against Dillian Whyte after the challenger signed his contract hours before deadline.
Whyte had until 6am UK time today (Tuesday) to put pen to paper to confirm a fight with Fury, expected to take place on April 23.
The Londoner has now reportedly signed the deal, with Wembley Stadium favourite to host the all-British world heavyweight title bout.
Whyte, who has a record of 28 wins in 30 fights (19 knockouts) is the World Boxing Council (WBC) mandatory challenger.
But the man nicknamed 'The Body Snatcher' has been quiet since Fury's promoter Frank Warren won the purse bid to stage the fight.
Whyte is reportedly unhappy at an 80-20% purse split in Fury's favour.
Tyson, who is undefeated in 32 fights with 31 wins, 1 draw and 21 KOS, took to social media to goad Whyte as the days and hours ticked down until the deadline.
Fury won the WBC Title in February 2020 by stopping Deontay Wilder in the seventh round, then retained the championship in October 2021 when he knocked out Wilder in the 10th in a thrilling fight.
