The driver of a van was found to be three times the legal drink drive limit when they were stopped on the M6 at Lancaster.
The van was stopped by Lancashire Road Police after they received a report of a possible drink driver over thew weekend.
A Ford Transit was stopped at junction 33 of the M6 on the southbound carriageway.
The driver provided a positive roadside breath test and was arrested.
The van was recovered.
