Crowds turned out in force on Morecambe Promenade for the Baylight festival - including for a sea-themed parade featuring a giant octopus!
The large red octopus puppet loomed large over the seafront on Friday night as it made its way from the Platform to the RNLI lifeboat station and back again, watched by thousands of onlookers lining Marine Road.
The 'Under the Sea' parade, which also featured samba drumming band Samba Espirito, the Baybeat band, and local people dressed as sea creatures, was one of the highlights of the second annual light art festival.

Thousands packed onto the Prom from Thursday to Saturday to see an event that reimagines the legendary Morecambe Illuminations with a 21st century twist.
People could follow a trail of illuminated art installations on a 1.5km route along the seafront from the Stone Jetty to opposite the town hall.
Popular attractions included giant inflatable sea monster tentacles from the balcony of the Winter Gardens theatre, created by artists Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas.

Inside the Winter Gardens, there was an atmospheric musical performance of 'Bird Song' while animated birds could be seen on the Grade II* listed building's ceiling.
A stunning 'Touch the Sky' installation shone searchlight beams high over the Prom, while people could check out their 'romantic prowess' by having a go on the fairground-style Emotisphere!
Illuminated images were shone onto the Queens Hotel, other iconic landmarks in Morecambe such as the Midland Hotel and Clock Tower were also lit up for the occasion, and a Ferris wheel behind the Eric Morecambe Statue also proved popular.
