Kind-hearted staff sent up pizza and colouring books to workmen who got stuck on a supermarket roof for hours.
The three men who'd been working on the Lidl roof in Lancaster were trapped after their cherry picker broke down on Thursday afternoon.
So supermarket workers and employees from nearby Pizza Hut sent up food and other supplies to keep them going as they waited for help to get down.
At one point, the workmen lowered down a bucket tied to a makeshift rope made out of knotted cloths, to take delivery of a pizza.
WATCH as the pizza is sent up to the workmen.
"They said they're sending a bucket down and could I send a pizza up," said Claire Barrett, manager of Pizza Hut in Lancaster.
"It was a large Meat Feast Sizzler on a deep pan base.
"Staff went out to them with more pizzas later on.
"The workmen had nothing to do so we also put some of our kids' colouring books and crayons in. I think they used them!

"They were in good spirits.
"We sent up some foil blankets to keep them warm and rang them a couple of times to make sure they were all right.
"Staff at Lidl were helping them as well.
"It was pretty bizarre. I've never had to do anything like that before."
Claire, pictured below, said she thinks the men were stuck for around five hours on the roof of the Kingsway Retail Park supermarket.

"I started my shift at around 2.45pm and they were down after 8pm," she said.
She said that after they finally reached the ground, they were so grateful they brought in bottles of wine and beer to Pizza Hut staff as a thank you.
One of the workmen, posting on the Beyond Radio Facebook page, said: "I was one of the three stuck on the roof.
"If we didn't laugh we could have cried.
"What started off as a laugh to cure boredom turned out to be the best thing we've ever made, stopped us from going hungry that's for sure.
"And as for Claire and Alice at Pizza Hut sending up foil blankets, we would have been ice cubes. Absolute legends, the pair of them."
