Woman taken to hospital after emergency services called to Lancaster train station

A woman was taken to hospital after emergency services were called to Lancaster train station.

The footbridge connecting platforms 3 and 4 was cordoned off on Saturday evening as police and ambulance staff attended a medical incident at the station.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Lancaster station at 5.17pm on 11 March to reports of a medical incident at the station.

"Paramedics also attended, and a woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment. She has since been discharged."
