10 for 10 Trek: Greg Lambert supporting Coastal Amateur Boxing Club

Greg Lambert

Beyond Radio presenter Greg Lambert has revealed the good cause he will be supporting as part of a fundraising team taking on our '10 for 10 Trek'.

Greg will be one of the team of presenters taking part in a sponsored 10-mile walk to raise funds for 10 good causes as part of our 10th birthday celebrations.

The '10 for 10 Trek' on Sunday May 10, between our transmitter sites in Carnforth and Lancaster, is part of our 'Beyond Radio 10 for 10' celebratory year of events.

We are aiming to raise £1000 through JustGiving plus personal sponsorship money, which we will split between 10 local charities/community groups around the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay area.

Greg, who presents The Resident on Tuesday evenings and co-presents Beyond the Headlines on Sunday mornings, will be supporting Coastal Amateur Boxing Club.

"Based at Red Rose Community Centre in the West End of Morecambe, Coastal is a fantastic community club which has produced national and regional champions," said Greg.

"It's a place where young people can go to learn how to box, improving their fitness levels, teaching teamwork, discipline, resilience and social skills.

"Any funds we could raise would be really helpful for the club to upgrade the equipment they use for their weekly coaching sessions."

We have chosen 10 special events in the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay community to be involved in this year to help celebrate our 10th birthday.

So far the 10 for 10 has included our involvement in Lancaster's Big Spring Clean 2026, a live broadcast from Lancaster's first ever Unsigned Festival and the first ever Beyond Radio Junior Poet Laureate Competition.
