Fire crews were called to tackle a blaze at an address in Skerton.
They were called just after 12:30am on Saturday (February 21) to a domestic property on Main Street.
Two fire engines from Lancaster responded, and used a ventilation unit, a gas monitor and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
One casualty was assessed at the scene for smoke inhalation by North West Ambulance Service.
Crews remained on-site for about one hour.
