Visitors to Lancaster have been getting a marvellous surprise this week as their bills have been paid for them through a random act of kindness.
The Lancaster Business Improvement (BID) team have been out and about in the city centre all week picking up the tab for delighted customers of shops, pubs and restaurants.
This is to thank people for choosing Lancaster as a place to eat, drink, shop and play.
Yesterday the team met Helen and Lucy from Stafford, and picked up their tab in the Merchants 1688 pub as a thank you for visiting the city.
Earlier in the week, Jo, Rebecca and Tim were celebrating at the Toll House Inn, when the BID team stopped by to pay the bill. Here they are with the BID's Tom Fyson.

BID staff have also done the same for delighted customers in Bella Italia, The Borough, Bob & Berts Coffee, The Pendle Witch, the Sir Richard Owen Wetherspoon's pub, the Brown Cow, Molly's restaurant, The Sun Hotel, the John O'Gaunt pub, the Printroom Cafe and bar at the Storey Centre, Sydney's restaurant and Atkinsons cafe at Lancaster Castle.
The BID's Random Acts of Kindness have been sponsored by The Traveller's Choice.
The team will be out and about again in the city centre today (Thursday).
Lancaster BID is a private body led and funded by local businesses.
Businesses pay a levy into a cash pot which the BID uses to improve the city centre.
