
A 19th century former bank building in Morecambe town centre has been sold at an auction for £255,000.
The former Barclays Bank on Euston Road, which has been empty since the bank closed in 2020, went under the hammer earlier this week.
A spokesperson for Auction House North West and Farrell Heyworth estate agents said "the property attracted significant interest".
They said: "At this stage, the purchaser isn’t in a position to comment publicly on the acquisition.
"As is standard with auction sales, completion is expected within 28 days."
The Grade II listed premises was originally built by the Kendal Bank in 1890
