Police in Lancaster are asking parents who are aware their children might be in the city centre on Friday evening to ask them to return home after more youth anti-social behaviour.
It follows a number of reports of incidents throughout this week, with further ones occurring this evening.
A spokesperson for Lancaster Area Police said: ‘’We are appealing directly to parents and guardians to take responsibility for knowing where their children are, who they are with and what they are doing.
‘’If your children are out tonight in Lancaster City Centre, please ensure they return home immediately.
‘’The behaviour being reported is unacceptable and is having a significant impact on our local community, including residents and businesses. This behaviour will not be tolerated, and we will continue to take appropriate action in response to any incidents reported to us.
‘’We urge parents and guardians to speak with their children and make it clear that this behaviour is unacceptable.
‘’If you have witnessed any incidents, have information about those involved or have concerns, please contact us.’’
Incidents can be reported via 101, or by 999 in an immediate emergency.
