A Lancaster movie maker's groundbreaking new action film starring top actor John Hannah will be shown at a cinema in his home city.
'Bad Day at The Office' is directed by Chee Keong Cheung from Lancaster, and is a first person action thriller shot entirely on Gopro cameras.
The film will be screened at Vue Cinema in Lancaster this Friday (October 30), meaning local audiences will get to see Chee's work first-hand.
It will also show in more than 150 cinemas across the UK and Ireland, with Lancaster screening times to be confirmed soon.
Chee has had a more than 20-year career in cinema, making films all over the world, and 'Bad Day at the Office' marks his most high-profile UK movie to date.
He shot his very first action film in Lancaster as a teenager, and his family have run the Golden Dragon restaurant in the city centre for many years.
Chee has worked with many top names including Sir Ian McKellen and Richard Dreyfus, and his previous film credits include 'Bodyguard: A New Beginning', 'Underground', the zombie action adventure 'Redcon-1' for which scenes were filmed in Lancaster, and award winning Nigerian action thriller Son Of The Soil.
His company Action Xtreme recently teamed up with Sir Idris Elba's 22Summers production company, Nile Media Entertainment Group from Nigeria, to develop movies rooted in African stories and talent.
The cast of 'Bad Day at the Office' is led by Hannah, famed for his roles in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Sliding Doors and The Mummy series, as well as in McCallum and Rebus on television.
Bad Day at the Office

In 'Bad Day at the Office', he plays Karl who wakes in a wrecked hotel room with no memory, a dead body in the bathtub, and the police knocking at his door.
Reluctantly forced to team up with hotel maid Molly, he’s thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse through a city that wants him dead.
Hunted, confused and with no idea who to trust, Karl must rely on long-buried instincts to survive - and uncover the truth behind his lost identity.
The film has been described as a "hyper-violent, inventive, first-person view film...breathless and highly entertaining" by Paul Ridd, festival director of Edinburgh Film Festival.
The national Guardian newspaper gave it a three out of five stars review, calling it "gratuitously entertaining...like Crank meets The Hangover" and The Fan Carpet website said it "combines a high octane action thriller with that of an adrenaline-fuelled video game...every punch, every chase, every explosion is seen and felt."
'Bad Day at the Office' also stars Radha Mitchell (Neighbours, Finding Neverland), Roxanne McKee (Hollyoaks, Game of Thrones) and Tamer Hassan (The Football Factory, Game of Thrones).
