A man has died in a collision on the M6 near Lancaster.
Police are appealing for information after the incident, which happened at around 11pm on Saturday (May 31).
The collision occurred between a pedestrian and an Audi Q7 travelling north between junctions 33 and 34.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The Audi driver was shocked but physically unhurt.
The carriageway was closed for around nine and a half hours for investigation work to be carried out, and was reopened at around 8:30am on Sunday.
Sgt Bex Price, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision very sadly resulted in the death of a man and my thoughts are with his loved ones at this time. I would appeal to anyone who has any information or footage such as dashcam or mobile to get in touch with us.”
