Morecambe boxer Owen 'The Captain' Kirk is eyeing revenge for his only professional defeat after he scored a clear points victory on Saturday night.
Kirk outpointed Josh Cook from Manchester over four rounds at Bolton's Whites Hotel and will now face Jake Bray in September.
The Bray fight will be a rematch from Kirk's only professional loss, a close and controversial decision in April.
Kirk, who weighed in at 11 stone 5lbs 8oz, was too good for the journeyman Cook in an impressive comeback outing.
The 23-year-old middleweight (pictured left) started sharply and was much the busier in Round 1, landing piercing rights and lefts through and around Cook's guard.

The confident Morecambe man dominated Round 2 as well, doubling up on his jab and setting up opportunities to land the right hand.
Cook did land a decent right and a body shot in Round 3 but took plenty more in reply as he was forced back by Kirk's frequent attacks.
Well in control, 'The Captain' rounded off a clear victory by landing some snappy left hooks in the final round.
Referee Howard Foster scored it 40-36 in Kirk's favour.
His professional record is now 3 wins and 1 loss.
Afterwards, Owen spoke to Beyond Radio.
"It was good, I'm happy with my performance," he said.
"I feel like I could have given a lot more, but I did the basics to ensure I was winning. I didn't want to take too many risks and I was enjoying it in there."
Owen's rematch with Bray takes place at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury's brother Roman Fury will also appear on the card.
Tickets cost £40 (general) and £70 ringside and are available by messaging Owen Kirk on Facebook or call 01942 874241.
