Schools have been forced to close after water supplies went off in Lancaster on Tuesday morning.
Lancaster Girls' Grammar was among the schools which closed on Tuesday due to no water.
Dallas Road Primary School also had to shut for the same reason.
Many householders in the LA1 area also reported no water or low water pressure on Tuesday morning.
Water company United Utilities say the issue has now been resolved.
In a statement, the company said: ''Good news, we’ve now repaired the technical fault in your area and your taps should be flowing again.
''However, it may take up to two hours for your water pressure to return to normal. You may also experience some discolouration to your water, this is due to the repair work on the pipe and should clear after a short time.
''Sorry for the disruption, thanks again for your patience.''
In December 2022, thousands of homes and businesses were affected by water issues in the Lancaster and Morecambe area.
