A woman has been charged following the death of a man in a road traffic collision in Morecambe.
Lancashire Police said that Charlene Lee, 37, of Musk Lane in Dudley, has received a postal requisition with charges for perverting the course of justice, aiding and abetting counsel and procure causing death by disqualified driving, aiding and abetting counsel and procure causing death by an uninsured driver, permitting the use of a vehicle without insurance, permitting the use of a vehicle without a driving licence, and theft.
She will appear at Preston Magistrates Court on June 19.
The collision occurred on Ovangle Road, near to the Household Waste Recycling Centre, on Tuesday December 16 at 2:30pm.
A black Hyundai i30 collided with a pedestrian walking on the pavement.
The pedestrian, a 42-year-old man from Lancaster, died on Christmas Day.
*In March, John Gavin, 41, of Musk Lane, Dudley, West Midlands was charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving whilst disqualified, causing death by driving when unlicensed/uninsured, failing to stop after a road accident, committing an act or series of acts with intent to pervert the course of justice, driving whilst disqualified, and driving without insurance.
He appeared in court in April when he pleaded not guilty on all counts, and is next due to appear in court on July 20.
