Lancaster City Council has apologised after bin collections were delayed due to staffing shortages.
The council said collections have been delayed at several homes across the Lancaster and Morecambe District.
"If your street’s bins have not been emptied, please leave your bin out and our crews will collect it as soon as possible," said a council spokesperson.
"Please continue to report a missed bin on our website if you think this is a separate issue.
"Rest assured, we are working hard to clear the backlog and apologise for any inconvenience caused."
The council recycling website can be found here, to report missed bin collections.
