A ‘baby bank’ charity is launching to help families across Lancaster and Morecambe.
Bundles of Joy aims to support families in need at the expensive time of the arrival of a new baby, by providing a brand-new moses basket and stand, packed with pre-loved clothing and everyday essentials for a newborn.
The organisation are launching the charity with a ‘Donations Day’ for pre-loved baby clothing, on April 30, at King's Community Church on Phoenix Street in Lancaster, between 10am and 2pm, where they’d like to receive donations of preloved baby clothes (0-6 months) in good condition.
A drink and homemade cake will be available as a thank you for anyone who donates.
Currently the charity is not set up to take baby equipment, but this may change in the future.
Then, they will be officially open from May 1, to receive referrals for families that they can help.
Any local businesses who would like to donate to the charity either financially or with ‘baby goods,’ please do get in touch via Bundlesofjoy@kcc.org.uk .
