Tickets are on sale for a beach party to mark the 90th birthday of the iconic Midland Hotel in Morecambe.
The hotel is running an afternoon of music, drinks and a barbecue on Sunday July 16 to mark 90 years of the art deco hotel on Morecambe Promenade.
The beach party-style afternoon will be held on the Midland lawn and in the Ravilious Suite and will feature music from DJ Steve Middlesbrough.
The Midland opened its doors for the first time on July 12 1933.
The striking building was built by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) to the designs of architect Oliver Hill, with sculpture by Eric Gill and murals by Eric Ravilious.
The hotel featured in the 1960 film The Entertainer starring Laurence Olivier and the 1990s ITV adaptations of Agatha Christie’s Poirot, starring David Suchet.

After a period of closure and dereliction, it reopened in summer 2008 following a major restoration by designers Urban Splash.
The hotel was sold to Clitheroe-based charity the Lancaster Foundation and run by English Lakes Hotels for 13 years, until it was sold to The Inn Collection Group in late 2022.
