A car blocking a farm gate was towed away by police and "multiple" parking tickets given out as motorists flocked to a local beauty spot in the hot weather.
Lancashire Rural Police reported they had a busy Sunday after complaints about inconsiderate parking at the Crook o Lune at Caton, near Lancaster.
"As a result multiple tickets were issued, and a car blocking a farm gate removed," said a spokesperson for Lancashire Rural Police.
"Please remember to park considerately in our beauty spots!"
A passerby also reported seeing an officer trying to clear the nearby blocked road of parked cars.
She also said people were having barbecues on the roadside which she said was "irresponsible in this weather".
