The chairman and vice-chairman of Morecambe Town Council have been re-elected for 2022/23.
Councillor Cary Matthews and Councillor Paul Anderton were voted in as chairman and vice-chairman respectively by their fellow councillors, during the Morecambe Town Council annual general meeting on Thursday night.
Both councillors represent the Morecambe Bay Independents, the largest group on the town council.
In her annual report to the council, Councillor Matthews said she was "incredibly honoured" to be the chairman.
Councillors were also appointed to various town council committees at the meeting.
The town council has committees for grants, personnel, festivals, sponsorship and events, finance and governance, and environment.
Morecambe Town Council is made up of 26 elected councillors.
