Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner is inviting applications for offender-funded grants of up to £5,000 open to support safer communities.
Local organisations, charities and community groups, Parish and Town Councils can all apply for up to £5,000 for projects that help prevent crime and make Lancashire safer.
Priority will be given to initiatives focused on youth diversion and preventing violence against women and girls (VAWG).
Funding will be open on a rolling basis, enabling timely responses to local issues, with a particular focus on diversionary activity over the summer when anti-social behaviour typically increases.
Additional funding will be delivered in partnership with local Community Safety Partnerships and Members of Parliament, recognising their strong links to neighbourhoods and community-based organisations.
This follows last year’s Community Fund, which reinvested £1.12m of money seized from criminals into Lancashire, supporting projects that engaged more than 66,000 people across the county.
Clive Grunshaw, Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire said: “I’m pleased to be investing money taken from criminals back into the communities they’ve harmed, funding projects that actively support safer streets.
“Prevention is at the heart of my Police and Crime Plan. By stopping crime and anti-social behaviour before it happens, we can support stronger enforcement where needed.
“This funding empowers communities to tackle the issues that matter most to them, helping to build confidence and deliver real value. Last year, we funded projects in every borough, and I’ve seen first-hand the positive difference they are making. Working together, we can create a safer Lancashire for everyone.”

Applications for the first round of funding which will cover the summer holiday period close on June 17.
