Extra tables have been released for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee record-breaking picnic attempt along Morecambe Promenade.
Original tickets for the event, on June 5, sold out quickly, but now additional places have been made available.
You can book you place, at a price of £10 per table for up to six people, here:
All proceeds are going to charity.
Attendees must bring their own chairs and picnics.
Earlier this year, Morecambe Town Council announced plans for their Morecambe Big Lunch, with tables along 2,500ft of the Promenade and say they anticipate 2,000 or more people will take part.
They are aiming to break the record for the longest Jubilee picnic ever recorded in England.
Morecambe’s Beacon Lighting Ceremony will take place on the Stone Jetty from 6pm to 10pm on June 2 with live music, pyrotechnics, fireworks, food stalls, and a DJ, with the beacon being lit at 9.45pm.
Luke Trevaskis, chief executive of Morecambe Town Council, said “social activities have made a comeback this year and celebrating our local connections is more important than ever.
"The town council is incredibly proud to be part of Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations and hosting Morecambe’s Big Lunch to support our residents will be a special day to mark our togetherness.”
Cllr Tricia Heath, chairman of Morecambe Town Council’s Festival and Events Committee, said “this event will be remembered for years to come and is set to be the longest Jubilee picnic ever recorded in England.”
