The organiser of a family festival in Heysham has paid tribute to her sister who inspired the event.
Alannafest, which takes place on Sunday August 28 at Heysham Cricket Club, was set up in memory of mum-of-two Alanna Duffy, who died of leukaemia in 2008, aged 26.
Alanna's family decided to celebrate her life by putting on an annual festival to raise money for CancerCare.
Her sister Katie Duffy said Alanna was "a very special person" and "people wanted to be around her all the time".

"She was a great mum and an amazing sister," said Katie.
"When you've lost somebody, to go into charity work, and to turn the negative into a positive, it really does help.
"I know Alanna will be looking down going 'flipping heck Katie, what have you done? You've gone and named a festival after me!'
"My mum went into CancerCare for counselling and they were there for her every step of the way.
"So we decided to turn our charity work towards CancerCare and we have done ever since."
Alanna is pictured below.

Alannafest will include live music from The Rest, Zamaica, Andy Creevy, Just Country and Carlie Mai.
There will also be performances by the Happy Feet Cheerleaders, the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts, as well as appearances by the cast of Morecambe Warblers' 'Shrek the Musical', and an artisan marquee by Events for All Occasions, bungee trampolining, land zorbing, bouncy castles, sand art, face painting, a big bounce slide, pirate assault course, stalls, games and a train ride.
The event runs from noon until 7pm. Donations will be taken for CancerCare and admission is free, although there is an optional £2 donation for adults.
More details about Alannafest can be found here.
The main sponsors are SM Cars, and the event is being held in association with Beyond Radio. Our very own Greg Lambert (pictured below with Katie) will host the main stage on the day.
