A community charity shop in Garstang is appealing for both donations and volunteers to come forward to help with their work.
The Save the Children shop, open six days a week, is spread over two floors on Market Place, and is asking for donations of stock, especially furniture, as well as anyone who would like to give some time to work in the shop itself.

Volunteer Alex Adams said: ‘’The whole essence of the shop is to keep going and provide things for the local community.
‘’Everything you’d want from a charity shop, we try and sell it. It’s more like an emporium.
‘’We’ve got room for small items of furniture – they also go down well, things like chairs, bookshelves, small tables, we’re able to take.''
Jodie Harrington, shop manager, added: ‘’It keeps them out of landfill which is really important as well. We have lots of room so we can take a lot of things.
‘’If you’ve got some time on your hands, come in, make friends. We get some really interesting people come in. Just a couple of hours of week of someone’s time would help enormously.
‘’I’ve met some brilliant people.
‘’We’re a real community hub and we work really well together.’’
